The goal | Acquisition of transferring information from a text to a diagram and sharing it with other students. Training to exchange electrical engineering-related information as well as the information concerning computer science in the spoken form. Organising and writing a detailed description of complex processes. Linking facts and ideas to form a short explanation. The acquisition of IEEE writing style. | |||

Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Relative clauses, compounds, connectors. Revision of countable and uncountable nouns, articles, noun phrases, phrasal verbs, modals. Transferring information from graphics to a table. Rules for reading a diagram and text for an explanation of a process. Rules for writing scientific papers in English. The algorithm for writing SCI papers. | |||
Contents of exercises | Talking and writing about computer applications in the field of electrical engineering. Oral practice: classifying different devices, enquiring about computers and computer performances. Group discussion about a topic concerning electrical engineering. Group work: presentations and homework. Composing draft for a SCI paper. | |||
