Course specification
Course title Control of Electrical Drives
Acronym 13E013UPE
Study programme Electrical Engineering and Computing
Module Signals and Systems
Type of study bachelor academic studies
Lecturer (for classes)
Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
ESPB 6.0 Status elective
Condition None
The goal Students are introduced to the function and importance of electric drives, types and structures, methods of analysis, and control. Attention is given protection of people and equipment, an important issue in design and application of drives.
The outcome Students capable of independent: • Analysis of drive operation in stationary and transient regimes • Modeling of drives • Selection of control principle for drives • Commissioning of drives • Use and maintenance of drives
