Course specification
Course title Digital Signal Processing - Practicum
Acronym OS3PDO
Study programme Electrical Engineering and Computing
Module Signals and Systems
Type of study bachelor academic studies
Lecturer (for classes)
Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
ESPB 3.0 Status elective
Condition Digital signal processing
The goal To inform the students about the advanced techniques for digital signal processing and their computer application, using MATLAB toolboxes.
The outcome Students will have skills for practical realization and implementation of digital filters using programming toolboxes in MATLAB.
Contents
Contents of lectures Short overview of basic techniques for design of filters with finite and infinite impulse response.
Contents of exercises During the course students have to solve several practical problems using MATLAB (design of the IIR filters making the discretization of continuous filters, design of FIR filters using the optimization in time or frequency domain).
