Contents of lectures | Theoretical background (Pointing theorem) about electrical energy to heat conversion. Power converters for generating voltage and frequency required for practical application of heat generation in industrial technologies. Design and construction of electrical heating devices and furnaces. Control of temperatures in resistive chamber furnaces. | |||
Contents of exercises | Numerical examples and laboratory exercises to illustrate and study resistive, induction, dielectric an arc electrical heating. Calculation in scope of design of electrical heating equipment. Model and application of Peltier elements as cooling elements. Project work on Smart cooking plate using Zigbee protocol. | |||
