19E032EM - Electrical Measurements

Course specification
Course title Electrical Measurements
Acronym 19E032EM
Study programme Electrical Engineering and Computing
Module Telecommunications and Information Technologies
Type of study bachelor academic studies
Lecturer (for classes)
Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
    Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
    ESPB 4.0 Status elective
    Condition
The goal The objective of the course is to train students for work in the laboratory, i.e. measure voltage, current, electrical resistance, impedance and frequency, as well as estimation of the measurement uncertainty and processing the measurement results. Also, the objective of the course is to train students to choose an appropriate measurement method and to design simple measuring instruments.
The outcome The student will be able to: -use measuring instruments -measure basic electrical quantities and evaluate measurement uncertainty -choose a measuring method that corresponds to the problem -modify existing measuring instruments and design simple measurement instruments.
