13M051PSU - Control Systems Design

Course specification
Course title Control Systems Design
Acronym 13M051PSU
Study programme Electrical Engineering and Computing
Module Signals and Systems
Type of study master academic studies
Lecturer (for classes)
Lecturer/Associate (for practice)
Lecturer/Associate (for OTC)
    ESPB 6.0 Status elective
Condition Passed exams: Control Systems 1 and Control Systems 2, or equivalent exams (analysis and linear control design).
The goal Introduce students to the overall process of the control systems design: analysis of plant properties, modeling of monovariable/multivariable plants, adequate control design and application, and testing procedures.
The outcome Students are able to: perform adequate plant analysis, model plants, set specifications of desired closed-loop performance, choose appropriate control system structure and tune the parameters of controllers, test obtained properties of closed-loop systems both in time domain and frequency domain.
