Success of Our Students at the ACM Regional Programming Contest

The world's largest ACM competition brings together the best student teams from all universities each year to compete in algorithmic programming. After several years of online editions, the local round of this competition for the Southeastern European region, titled The SouthEastern European Regional Contest of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (SEE-RC 2024/2025), was once again held live in Bucharest.

The University of Belgrade participated with three teams, consisting of four students from the Faculty of Mathematics and five students from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. Among a large number of teams from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus, our students achieved outstanding success.

The third place and silver medal were won by the team composed of Mihailo Jančević, Mladen Puzić, and Filip Bojković. The sixth place and bronze medal were won by the team consisting of Stefan Savić, Aleksandar Višnjić, and Nemanja Majski. The third team included Jovan Nikolić, Jovan Milićev, and Vukašin Babić. The teams were led by Tamara Šekularac-Obradović, Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade.

We congratulate all the teams on their remarkable results, and we wish the medal winners the best of luck in representing us at the next European round of the competition, which will be held in the spring.

We would like to extend special thanks to the company Avisto, which provided the competitors with a donation for accommodation and transportation to Bucharest, recognizing the quality of our students, who once again made us proud with their medals.
