Our student startup team "NavBlind" winner of the Exchange of Entrepreneurial Ideas 2024
Organized by the University of Donja Gorica, from Montenegro, last week in Podgorica, the Exchange of Entrepreneurial Ideas competition was held. The NavBlind student team's idea won the most sympathy from investors and event partners and won the event.
NavBlind is a startup idea of students of the School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, which aims to help blind and partially sighted people to lead better lives. A team of students, consisting of Slobodan Isaković, Mihailo Žarković and Pavle Zečević, is currently working on the development of an innovative mobile application that will primarily help blind and partially sighted people in using city transport, but also in other activities. The team learned about entrepreneurship through the professional program Route2Launch, in which they worked on the project under the mentorship of Dr. Dražen Drašković from ETF, Dr. Ana Poledica, and Ivan Todorović from FON. Also, professional support and commentary in the technical and scientific domain of the proposed solution is provided by Dr. Miloš Bjelić, from ETF. The technical solution for this startup idea will be presented at the ETRAN 2024 conference in June in Niš.
We remind you that in October 2023, this student team also won first place at the E-MOBILITY forum, a competition for innovative technological solutions in automotive and urban mobility, in Belgrade.
We congratulate the NavBlind team on the awards and wish our students many successful and creative entrepreneurial ideas. To support students, the School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade and our Innovation Center (ICEF) launched the "Innovation Incubator" project to support startup teams in their first entrepreneurial steps.
