As a Software Engineer you’ll join the Data Engineering team in charge of Vast’s Platform for Big Data processing, storage and publishing. We process over 8 million unique car listings daily, while maintaining and analyzing historical data on more than 200M unique vehicles, collected over 10 years of running some of the biggest Automotive search sites in the US. Our technology stack includes Java SE, Apache stack (Hadoop, MapReduce, ZooKeeper), Clojure, Ruby, AWS stack (S3, DynamoDB, SQS, EC2, EMR)
If you find the above interesting and you graduated from ETF or MATF and have the following experience:
- strong computer science background (algorithms, data structures, software design)
- good knowledge of Object-Oriented programming concepts (Java, C#)
- have a keen interest in learning and applying new technologies
- are interested in functional programming concepts
- if you like clean code
