      The goal Understanding native speakers talking in English at the advanced level about technical topics related to software engineering. Written and spoken communication concerning the software engineering topics. Understanding a wide variety of texts and audio materials in the field of software engineering. Writing descriptions and explanations of processes in English for software engineering.
      The outcome Upon the completion of this module students should be able to: - understand native speakers talking in English at the advanced level about technical topics related to software engineering, - communicate in the written and oral form concerning the software engineering topics, - understand a wide variety of texts and audio materials in the field of software engineering
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Classifying, expressing cause and effect, passive constructions, organising information, time clauses, giving examples, describing functions and features. Giving and following instructions. Comparatives, conditional sentences.
      Contents of exercises Describing input and output devices. Identifying the different keys on a keyboard and explaining their functions. Giving instructions for the use of computers and monitors. Summarising technical texts from the field of software engineering. Writing a short CV, a motivation letter and an e-mail.
