The goal | Introduce the students to fundamentals of telecommunication measurements and instrumentation. Make them capable of performing basic measurements in time and frequency domain. Make them capable of processing the obtained results and preparing a report. | |||

Contents of lectures | Types and organization of measurements in telecommunications. Instrumentation for measurements. Passive components. Power supplies. Signal sources. Signal level measurement. Frequency and time measurement. Digital storage oscilloscope. Signal characterization in time domain. Spectrum analyzer. Processing and presentation of results. Report preparation. | |||
