Contents of lectures | Purposes and Types of modern operating systems. Multiprogramming and multiprocessing. Memory management. I/O Concepts. File Systems. Systems Programming. Assemblers, Interpreters, Compilers. Linkers. Loaders. Fundamentals and Principles of DBMS. E-R Model. Relational Model. Relational Algebra & Calculus, SQL. Object-Oriented DB.Transaction processing. Methods of teaching | 30 hours of lectures + 30 hours of supervised problem classes + 15 hours of supervised laboratory classes, midterm tests and project.
