The goal | Teach students to apply basic and complex theories and methods. Teach students the design principles of complex methods for biomedical signal processing. Teach students how to extract information and eliminate artifacts and biological noise. Apply the best suited algorithms needed for the most appropriate analysis of biomedical signals. | |||

Contents of lectures | Electrophysiological signals: Characteristics of electrophysiological signals in time and frequency domains. Biological noise and artifacts. Components: electrodes, amplifiers, conditioning circuits. Electronic and magnetic stimulators. Instrumentation: ECG, EEG, MEG, EMG, ENG, etc. Measurements of impedances. Holter monitors. Telemetry for electrophysiology. Patient safety | |||
