    The goal To provide students with understanding of basic discrete and continual random processes. Introduction to filtering, correlation and detection theory.
    The outcome At the end of the course, the students will be familiar with the basic methods that use probabilistic approach in solving communications problems.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Communication system model. Random variables. Distributions and transformations of random variables. Moments. Characteristic function. Random processes, ansamble. Stationarity, ergodicity, correlation function. Wiener-Khinchine theorem. Extraction of signal by using filtration and correlation methods. Viener filter. Detection of signal in noise.
