The goal | To provide students with understanding of basic discrete and continual random processes. Introduction to filtering, correlation and detection theory. | |||

Contents of lectures | Communication system model. Random variables. Distributions and transformations of random variables. Moments. Characteristic function. Random processes, ansamble. Stationarity, ergodicity, correlation function. Wiener-Khinchine theorem. Extraction of signal by using filtration and correlation methods. Viener filter. Detection of signal in noise. | |||
