The goal | The students will be introduced to the current technologies, as well as to the state of the art research of intelligent objects. The students will be introduced with platforms for dynamic integration and management of intelligent objects.. Principles of networking and integration of intelligent objects with communications networks will be studied in details. | |||
The outcome | After completion of the course the students will be able to: - participate in design of intelligent objects and applications - participate in the integration of M2M intelligent objects with mobile communications systems - use existing platforms for conducting of experiments | |||

Contents of lectures | Intelligent objects, definition and applications.Overview of research activities. M2M communications and applications. Integration of M2M intelligent objects with mobile communication systems. Influence of M“M services on mobile communications systems. M2M platforms analysis.Operating systems. Overview of communication protocols for interaction and cooperation with intelligent objects. | |||
Contents of exercises | Usage of mobile phones for the interactions with environment („participatory sensing“). Overview of mobile communication equipment (Android, J2ME i iPhone). Android applications programming. Mobile phone as a gateway. Communication via mobile network. | |||
