| The goal | A systematic explanation of the mothods for design of the error control codes and explanation of the corresponding decoding algorithms. | |||

| Contents of lectures | Performance evaluation for linear block codes by using simulation methods. Algorithms for decoding of Rid-Solomon codes. Punctured convolutional codes. Hybrid ARQ procedures, adaptive coding and modulation. Generalized Viterbi and BCJR algorithm. Turbo codes. Iterative decoding algorithms - MAP, SOVA. Low density parity chech codes, representation by using Tanner graphs and decoding algorithms. | |||
