- programming skills in C and Java, and
- basic knowledge of computer networks and wireless communication |
The goal |
Acquiring knowledge and skills in sensor networks (SM), their features and practical implementation. Become familiar with the concepts, problems and solutions, as well as the principles of operation and implementation of the SM. Become familiar with the applications, architectures, and protocols. Handle specific SM problems such as energy efficiency, security, reliability and adaptability. |
The outcome |
Upon completion of this course student will: be introduced to SN applications and network protocol design; learn the various hardware and software platforms; learn to program SN platforms using TinyOS, C and Java and develop applications on wireless motes; understand research problems in energy efficiency, load balancing, graph theory, and security. |
