The goal | Introduction to the methods of optical spectroscopy in the characterization of solid materials. Explanations about which physical properties can be measured with optical techniques and why is knowledge of optical properties is important for applications of the materials.
The outcome | After this course, students should :: recognize which optical technique is suitable for measuring of the physical properties of a material, perform measurements on existing experimental set-ups within our scientific community, based on the obtained results determine the parameters that characterize the material.
