The goal The objective of the course is to train the students to use microcontroller as a platform suitable for rapid prototyping of electronic devices, with focus on application but without going into details of microcontroller itself.
The outcome Students will be able to develop simple microcontroller based device which will implement reading of typical electronic sensors, control of simple actuators and communication with computer.

Contents of exercises Practical exercises are held on MBED or similar platform, and comprise: introduction to characteristics of chosen microcontroller platform; introduction to available sensor and actuator modules and their connection interfaces; introduction of integrated development environment used for high abstraction level C programming.
