Condition Finished courses: Power Converters 1, Power Converters 2
The goal Introduction to: characteristics of switching elements from the control perspective, requirements and practical implementation techniques, galvanic insulation of control circuits and synchronization of power converters, measurement techniques. Integration of previously acquired knowledge in automatic control and electronics, and its application in the control circuits synthesis.
The outcome Students will be able to understand characteristics of switching elements from the control perspective, and functional requirements and technical aspects of control circuits which are necessary for their practical realization. Based on the acquired knowledge, students will be able to design control circuits for semiconductor switching components.
