The goal | Introduction to the concepts and technologies of virtual reality that enhance human-machine interaction and exploration of complex systems, datasets or experiences, while providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in development of scenarios and sample applications using gaming engines and 3D markup languages. | |||
The outcome | Acquiring the knowledge required for the implementation of virtual reality research, scientific and technical applications, with deeper familiarization with some practical aspects of implementation. | |||
Contents | ||||
Contents of lectures | Man-machine interaction; principles of creating a user interface paradigms for virtual environments; virtual reality applications; processes of human perception and technology input and output devices; 3D computer graphics in real time; creating scenes and simulation; tools and platforms; distributed and collaborative virtual reality; social effects. | |||
Contents of exercises | Joint design and development of practical scenarios or topics of the project; referral to relevant concepts, approaches, tools and literature; monitoring and discussion of the results and possible improvements throughout the work on the project and its documentation. | |||
