      The goal By studying the detection mechanisms, the realization of detector systems and the methodology for the measurement data processing student acquire knowledge in the metrology of ionizing radiation applicable in the fields of medicine, industry and environmental protection.
      The outcome Understanding and ability to solve scientific and professional problems in the field of metrology of ionizing radiation.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Realization of detector systems for corpuscular and electromagnetic radiation: counters, dosimeters, spectrometers, accompanying electronic circuits for processing output signals. Realization of the detector system shielding from background radiation. Nuclear counting statistics: optimization of measurement in experiment and in practice, limits of detection, expression of measurement uncertainty.
