The goal | Considering problems of organization and implementation of mobile radio systems. The candidate needs to master the principles of the design and optimisation of modern mobile radio systems. | |||
The outcome | After completing the course, student should know - to analyze the problem in a radio system, - to find and analyze existing solutions, and - to apply modern statistical methods and/or optimisation procedures to solve the problem. | |||

Contents of lectures | Radio network architectures. Design and optimisation of radio network. Mobility management. Security aspects - authentication and ciphering. Core network architecture, design and dimensioning. Managing QoS. Radio system monitoring and control. Distributed and centralized network management. Implementation of services.
