The goal | The objective of the course is to introduce students to the problems related with power system stability and present the modern methods suitable for the analysis of complex power system. | |||
The outcome | Students will be trained to perform detailed analysis of complex power systems with emphasis on computer applications. | |||

Contents of lectures | Small signal stability of the power systems. Models of complex power systems for small signal stability analysis. Model reductions and linearization. Transient stability of the power systems. Models for transient stability analysis. Approximation of the models for numerical simulations. The impact of renewable energy sources and power electronics devices on the stability of the power system. | |||
