The goal		To learn the working principles of modern computer networks and communication protocols.
The outcome		To get a clear picture of the functioning of computer networks from the physical to the application level. To learn the details of the functioning of individual communication protocols. To get the skills of establishing the operational work of computer networks, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Contents of lectures		Internet protocol layers; LAN - Ethernet; switching, STP, RSTP, VLAN; Wireless, WAN, PPP; Network layer – IP protocol, addressing, routing principles ARP, ICMP; Routing protocols - Distant Vector, RIP; Link State, OSPF, redistribution; Transport layer - TCP, UDP; Other protocols - RARP, BOOTP, DHCP, NAT; Application layer - DNS; IPv6 protocol.
Contents of exercises		Demonstration of application of knowledge acquired through theoretical teaching through: - solving tasks on auditory exercises - solving practical problems using a simulator in the laboratory.
