The goal | Introduce students to integral calculus, differential equations, series, combinatorics, graph theory, vector spaces with elements of analytic geometry. Make students capable to effectively apply acquired knowledge to solve problems in their technical courses. | |||
The outcome | Students are able to solve engineering and computer science problems using appropriate mathematical models, especially applying integral calculus, series, combinatorics and analytic geometry. | |||

Contents of lectures | Integral calculus, methods of integration, application of definite integrals, differential equations, series, combinatorics and graphs, vector spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices, rank of matrices, systems of linear equations, analytic geometry. | |||
Contents of exercises | Solving diverse problems related to the theoretical component of the course. Students are taught how to recognize and solve problems in their further courses. | |||
