The goal Learning students for getting knowledge and practical skills for computer networks design and network device configuration.
The outcome The course offers theoretical basis and knowledge needed for computer network design. Attending this course and working on computer network simulator, the students use the knowledge and obtain practical skills in configuring communication protocols ans services in problem solving way.
Contents
Contents of lectures Computer network design - network topology, IP addressing; Configuring switches and LAN/WAN technologies - STP, VLAN, PPP; Configuring routers and network layer technologies – RIP, OSPF, BGP, redistribution, NAT; Configuring services on application layer - DHCP, DNS.
Contents of exercises Individual work using simulator, work on exercises, project design and device configuration.
