    The goal Introduce students to the basic concepts of physics of medical imaging in the nuclear medicine and radiology. Students will have active knowledge to recognize and solve variety of problems in the field of physics of medical imaging.
    The outcome Students will be enabled to be engaged in a physics of medical imaging successfully.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Physics of X-ray imaging (generation, transport and detection). Interaction of radiation with matter. CT numbers. Transport equation for photons and neutrons. Monte Carlo methods in photon, neutron, electron and proton transport. Simulation of X-ray imaging. Ultrasound physics (wave transport and Doppler effect). Physics of nuclear magnetic resonance.
