The goal | Objective of the course is to teach students to analyze, design and build power electronic systems. Covered systems include switching converters, resonant converters, and inverters. | |||
The outcome | Students will be trained to design power electronic systems to meet given specifications, build them, analyze them using computer aided design tools, and to perform required measurements. | |||

Contents of lectures | Averaged circuit models for converters controlled using pulsewidth modulation. Current mode control. Digital control of power converters. Resonant converters, sinusoidal approximation and the exact analysis. Quasiresonant converters. Rectifiers with low distortion of the input currents. Inverters. | |||
