      The goal Introducing students to the problems and challenges Remote sensing and importance remote sensing data in the modern society. Emphasizing the importance of technical aspects of the profession and the impact of new hardware and software products on the Remote Sensing Systems.
      The outcome Students will be able to: identify significant trends in the remote sensing, understand the contribution of some scientists in this field, estimate remote sensing data, understand of a new remote sensing systems.
      Contents
      Contents of lectures Solar radiation, infrared radiation of objects on Earth, the atmosphere, optical sensors and detectors, transmittance of atmosphere. Types of remote sensing platforms, height and speed of satellite orbits and periods. Geometric and radiometric characteristics and image formats.
      Contents of exercises Application of software tools in analysis of remote sensing systems. MATLAB examples of calculation of space distribution of the radiance. Basic principles of simulation of remote sensing devices and systems.
