The goal | The students will be introduced to the architectures, protocols, current technologies, as well as to the state of the art research of intelligent objects design. Principles of networking and integration of intelligent objects with communications networks will be studied in details.“Smart City Concept“ and M2M/IoT applications in the cities and agriculture. Business models for IoT solutions. | |||
The outcome | After completion of the course the students will be able to: - participate in design of intelligent objects and applications - participate in the integration of M2M intelligent objects with mobile communications systems - use existing platforms for conducting of experiments - develop business models for IoT solutions | |||

Contents of exercises | Usage of mobile phones for the interactions with environment („participatory sensing“). Overview of mobile communication equipment (Android, J2ME i iPhone). Android applications programming. Mobile phone as a gateway. Communication via mobile network.Usage of current hardware platforms for development of M2M/IoT applications: Raspberry Pi, Arduino. | |||
