The goal | Introduce the students to the fundamentals of computer and communication networks theory. Discuss the lower-layer mechanisms and protocols. Enable the students to calculate the delay in a given network.
The outcome | The students will become familiar with the basic terms and definitions related to the computer and communication networks. They will have the knowledge on protocol reference models and the procedures applied at the lower layers and be capable of performing network performance analysys.
