The goal Introduction into physics of electrical discharges in different materials. Enabling students for high voltage equipment laboratory testing and measurement as well as interpretation of results.
The outcome Students learn to understand the principles of operation of the equipment in high voltage laboratories, designing equipment for high voltage laboratories and maintenance. Students learn to conduct high-voltage measurement and interpretation of results.
Contents
Contents of lectures Discharge in gases, liquid and solid dielectrics. Alternating, direct and impulse high voltage sources. Conventional and unconventional measurements of high voltages and currents. The concept of planning of high-voltage laboratories.
Contents of exercises Practical teaching is related to the performing experimental exercises in the laboratory and computational tasks in the classroom.
