The goal | Introducing students with principles of propagation of optical waves in complex media. Training students to independently define the problem and to apply some of contemporary programs (MatLab, Maple, MatCad, Mathematica) for numerical simulations of propagation of optical waves.
The outcome | Solving different problems in propagation of waves in complex media. Clearly identifying the physics of problem and the use of appropriate algorithms and numerical package for solving the problem. Application of the results in practice.
