are announcing the following
Open Competition
For three-month fellowship awards as part of the
“Computer Science Student Advancement Program (CSSAP)”

 

1.  Fellowships

  • Individual fellowships include all the expenses for travel, room and board for a period of 90 days at the Computer Science Department at Rice University and the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Texas A&M University, under the mentorship of a Rice University or Texas A&M University faculty member
  • Awards will be granted for approximately beginning of July to end of September period
  • There is no limit on the number fellowships awarded, the main criteria are the candidate’s qualifications and a match between candidate’s and faculty’s research interests

2.  Conditions

  • Applicants must be 3rd or 4th year undergraduate students in good standing or 1st year in the Masters program at their respective school in Serbia
  • Minimum GPA of 9.0/10 is required
  • Fluency in spoken and written English must be demonstrated
  • Minimum of 2 references from faculty or collaborators in the field of Computer Science
  • Other supporting materials, such as documents witnessing memberships in science organizations, student organizations, published papers, e.t.c. are encouraged but not required

3.  Applications

  • Current CV with a list of publications, GPA, curricular and extra-curricular activities, academic and work experience and achievements
  • Current transcripts
  • 2 reference letters
  • A letter from the applicant describing his/her scientific interests, along research groups at Rice or A&M that may be of interest (see http://www.cs.rice.edu/research/ and https://engineering.tamu.edu/cse/research/areas/)
  • Any supplemental materials
