Goldman Sachs Internships for Engineering Students

A Goldman Sachs internship gives you a unique opportunity to learn about the finance industry by working side by side with the experts. Our interns don’t learn by watching, they learn by getting involved in real projects. We will present an example of work that is done in financial engineering for risk management.

Financial risk measurements have grown in complexity in line with financial instruments and regulation. This talk will go over an example of highly granular market prediction model, which projects state of the market for over 20,000 market variables over 9 quarters in 5 different scenarios. Second part of the talk will focus on validation techniques on approximately 1 million projected metrics using financial rules, expert systems, and human judgment.
