Is searching for

A Doctoral Assistant in Distributed Database Design and
Implementation for Product Development

This basic and applied research work will be part of a newly accepted European Research Project. The goal of this research is to develop and implement a Distributed Database for Product Design to support aerospace, automotive and home appliances applications. The expected benefits would be to reduce the product development costs and times. The innovation would be the design of the product development process and the produc tdesign knowledge and its implementation in the distributed product design knowledge to support the delocalized collaborative product design process.

Required Qualifications

• A Master of Science degree in Computer Science
• Knowledge and experience in database design and implementation
• Programming in Java

We offer a challenging environment of research work funded by European projects in collaboration with academic and industrial partners across Europe.

StartingDate: 1st of October 2010 or to be discussed.
