Android Developer
to join our Belgrade-based Mobile team.

As a Mobile Developer, you will join a high-performing, small, focused team and work with researchers, engineers, and product managers on CarStory and HomeStory mobile applications that use big data and complex analysis to help automotive and real estate sales associates partners with their customers throughout the sales process. You will have the ability to make a big impact on the products we deliver.

Required skills: *BSc/ MS degree or relevant experience in developing Android apps *You have strong Computer Science background (algorithms, data structures, software design) *Java is your OO language of choice and you feel extremely confident in writing Java code *You understand every single Android lifecycle, component, building block, and UI widget and you know how to recognize where and when those are best used *You can recognize bottlenecks of Android development and know how to avoid them *You are very comfortable with Git *Have experience working with remote data via REST, JSON and XML *Have strong research practices *Have a passion and initiative for continual learning about new technologies and approaches Desired skills: Some experience with RxJava and RxAndroid An in-depth knowledge of design and architectural patterns which enables you to make the right technical decisions Ability to work in small iterative cycles with a larger goal Participate in Agile, design and code review process Capable of expressing yourself in a way your audience understands Taking responsibility for others, helping them and guiding them if necessary Your development skills are valued more than the length of your professional experience Apply for this position at: jobs@vast.com .
